Sin C. LI – Honorary Chairman
Sin has over 32 years of audit, tax, and project finance experience; having worked at various international firms, including a Big 4 and other international finance corporations dealing with multinational corporations, venture capital funds, and private equity firms.
After 26 years in the USA, Sin moved back to Mauritius in 2011 to start an audit and business consulting practice where he advised and accompanied clients through strategic planning, cost management, process re-engineering, sale of businesses as well as mergers and acquisition. In 2016, he became the Managing Partner of Baker Tilly and assumed the role of Senior Partner in 2019.
Sin is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and also holds an MBA from George Washington University. He is the first U.S. CPA to be licensed in Mauritius.
Sin has a strong commitment to community service. He sits on the board of various not-for-profit organisations that help battered women, children with mental disorders, and communities with food self-reliance.
Cheong LO – Executive Chairman
Cheong joined Baker Tilly – an International audit and business consulting practice in 2016 after spending more than 10 years in China. He currently leads the China Desk and is the liaison officer with the Mauritian subsidiaries of Chinese companies.
He has extensive experience in various industries, including logistics, IT, and import/export. He has also advised several Chinese and Hong Kong companies for their investments into Mauritius and the African continent.
Cheong holds a degree in economics from Jinan University, China and is the current Executive Chairman of the Chamber.
France MARIE – Vice Chairman
Dr. France Marie is a seasoned professional, entrepreneur and philanthropist with international exposure. Currently he is acting as a senior consultant for a US multinational company. Based in Dubai (U.A.E) covering the CEMEA region (i.e. Central Europe, Middle East, Russia and CIS, and Africa), he also regularly travels back to his homeland to remain close to the local realities and challenges while promoting Mauritius through his international network. He has also been dealing and connecting top Chinese companies to address the African market.
Feizal DELIOR – Chief Operating Officer
Feizal Delior has a proven track record spanning over thirty-five years of sound business with China, Japan, Singapore and the African continent. Apart from managing his own businesses, he has successfully acted as a business facilitator between enterprises in China, Singapore, Africa and local companies. He is also a board member of the Central Water Authority of Mauritius and acts as an Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Public Utilities. The experience he has mustered over the years make that his advice is being sought by various operators in different sectors of the local economy. Feizal Delior is a name to reckon with if you are on the look-out for any business opportunity.
Patrick CHUNG – Treasurer
Patrick has more than 30 years of abundant experiences in freight forwarders and logistics industries. He possesses exposures and maintains good relationships with companies in such industries in the African continent and in Mauritius. Patrick also has solid accounting background and experiences. Before joining Cargo Express & DHL, he worked as a full time professional accountant for more than 6 years.
Mirabelle CHAN – Assistant Treasurer
Mirabelle was Born in Madagascar and has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, Mirabelle breathes credibility, determination and dedication in everything she does.
Mirabelle is passionate about reading for the knowledge and vision, that gives her motivation to improve her ability to show empathy to everyone which she encounters in life and more importantly, Mirabelle is very keen to maintaining these relationships by communicating effectively.
Stuart CHUNG – Secretary
With an education background in Economics and Trade, Stuart has accumulated years of experiences from working in China, Hong Kong, Cameroon, Gabon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mauritius. In addition to his rich international experience, Stuart has worked in several fields i.e. education, entertainment, mining, agriculture and sustainable development. After being exposed to such diverse economic opportunities, Stuart became fascinated with sustainable business development.
Stuart firmly believes that China can contribute a lot in the economic development of Mauritius as well as other African countries and he is more than willing to play an important role into making this a reality.
Jeanette LI – Assistant Secretary / International Relations
Jeanette is a corporate finance and structure professional with expansive experiences advising clients in the benefits of establishing family structures for estate planning purposes and private wealth managements.
Jeanette is a Chinese national but resides in Mauritius since 2017, prior to relocating to Mauritius, she worked in India, Hong Kong and first-tier cities in mainland China. Jeanette has strong focuses in both Finance and Fintech sectors and is currently developing potential clients in the far east and greater China regions. Her portfolio of clients included International leading organizations, foreign investors, multinational companies, and financial services providers worldwide. Jeanette is determined and committed to provide assistance, platforms and bridges for Chinese companies to the world, especially to African regions and vice versa to help companies in Africa in search of their right partners in China.
Gyn LAM – Executive member
Gyn has over 30 years experience in the textile industry in Mauritius and Africa.
Gyn is a highly experienced individual with international expertise, having undertaken senior operations management roles in the textile industry. Gyn has solid experience within the African continent having worked in Madagascar for over 18 years and also spent over 5 years in other African countries namely Tanzania and Ghana.
Joanne TOUR – Executive member
Joanne holds a BA (Hon’s) Marketing Communications and a Master’s in business administration (MBA). Joanne has over 16 years’ experience as an event and marketing professional spanning over a number of industries including hospitality and luxury, entertainment and publishing.
Joanne is also a director of an event company in Mauritius and she directly oversees all aspects of event management & Logistics of Sparks Events and concept LTD.
Recently involved in politics, Joanne took part in the last general elections of 2019 and was elected member of the Mauritius National for constituency no4 Port Louis North, Long Mountain.
